Our hotel has been named after the Urartu civilization which has nearly, a 300 year old historical heritage. The chairman of the board Mehmet Türkoğlu laid the foundations of our hotel in the year 1977 with the target for our hotel to be the first great hotel in Van; a city which is also known as the pearl of the east; following this the formal opening of our hotel was realized in 2 April 1985. We have started out to have the hotel as a three star hotel, and in 30 August 1998 with additional investment and general revision studies the hotel is now a four star hotel which still continues to give services with the same perception of its first day with its renewed features to our valuable guests. Our hotel which has been built in an area of approximately 7.868 metre squares and right in the centre of town offers comfort and ease to its visitors who have arrived as tourists or for business. Our hotel has 75 rooms, of which 63 are twin beds, 9 French beds and 3 suites; spacious and multi-purpose resident lounges, wedding hall and ball room that can accommodate 1000 people, VIP room that can be used in special dinners and meetings, a play room and a disco which is the first and only disco club in town.
